Marvel Television just tweaked the calendar on one of its biggest Disney+ launches of the fall. VisionQuest, the eight-episode series putting Paul Bettany’s Vision and James Spader’s Ultron front and center, will now open with a two-episode premiere on October 14 — following the same double-drop playbook that worked for WandaVision and other flagship originals.
The change lands just weeks before debut and reshapes the whole season map. Instead of stretching into early December, the series is now set to conclude on November 25, a week earlier than the original December 2 end date. That timing is not accidental: Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters in December, and finishing VisionQuest before the Doomsday hype wave means the WandaVision trilogy-capper gets a cleaner runway on streaming.
Early audiences already get a taste. The first two episodes are lined up for a special screening at the British Film Institute, with the official listing clocking the premiere block at about 97 minutes — longer than WandaVision‘s two-episode open and longer than Agatha All Along‘s as well. A new trailer dropped alongside the schedule news, leaning into sci-fi dread and the Vision/Ultron collision fans have been waiting for since the Multiverse Saga started stacking its chips.
For MCU watchers, VisionQuest is the connective tissue between Disney+’s character series and the next Avengers event. Bettany’s reconstructed Vision has been one of the saga’s quieter long games; pairing him with Spader’s Ultron raises the stakes without needing another crowded team-up trailer. The two-episode premiere also signals confidence: Marvel wants viewers locked in from night one, not drip-fed into a slow burn.
Mark October 14 on the calendar. Two episodes drop on Disney+, the BFI gets the early look, and by late November the WandaVision trilogy should have its ending — just in time for Doomsday season to take over the timeline.
