The Shlorpian family has one last lap to run on Netflix. All ten episodes of Solar Opposites season 6, the final season of the adult animated sitcom, become available on the service today, October 13.
A quick clarification before anyone gets their hopes up: these are not brand-new episodes. The season was made for Hulu, which premiered it exactly one year ago, on October 13, 2025, as the planned conclusion of the show. What is new is the audience. Netflix licensed the first five seasons last year, and the series quietly found a second life there, racking up more than 111 million hours viewed. Season 6 arriving now means Netflix viewers can finally see how it all wraps up without switching apps.
For newcomers, the premise is gloriously daft. A family of aliens flees their exploding home planet, crash-lands in American suburbia and tries, with mixed success, to blend in. Thomas Middleditch, Mary Mack, Sean Giambrone and Dan Stevens voice the household, and the show mixes cartoon chaos with surprisingly sharp jokes about family life.
The end of the Wall
The big storyline to watch is the Wall, the long-running side saga about the shrunken people living inside Yumyulack’s bedroom wall. It has always felt like a show within the show, with its own politics and heroes, and the final season brings it to a close. Fair warning: the ending divided fans when it first aired, with some feeling it moved too fast. Others loved the closing flash-forward. Either way, it is a finale people still argue about.
Will there be more? Hulu has ended the series and no seventh season has been ordered. Strong Netflix numbers have revived shows before, though, so if you want the aliens back, this week’s viewing is where to make the case.
