The mustaches are back, and so is the nonsense. Hulu dropped the official trailer for Super Troopers 3 on October 28, confirming that the Broken Lizard highway-patrol comedy will stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ from November 5. After opening in theaters on August 7, the third film finally gets a home where fans can rewind every bad idea.
This chapter starts with a wedding nobody asked for and a case nobody wanted. Farva’s wildly over-the-top Indian engagement to Thorny’s sister spins into chaos, Thorny tries to sabotage the relationship, and the Super Troopers somehow also have to crack a new drug ring. In other words: vows, pranks, foot races and at least one electric patrol car that nobody likes.
Who is back behind the badges
Jay Chandrasekhar directs again, from a script by the Broken Lizard troupe. The original five return: Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske. New and returning faces in the trailer and cast lists include Brian Cox, Marisa Coughlan, Nat Faxon, Chace Crawford, Andrew Dismukes, Hannah Simone, Iqbal Theba, Sakina Jaffrey, Jon Rudnitsky and Lisa Gilroy. Rich Perello produces for Searchlight Pictures.
The tone in the trailer is pure franchise DNA: rookies getting smoked in foot races, bachelor-party demand lists that should never leave a group chat, and the nagging question of whether the old-timers are still the cool guys in their own story. Spoiler from the trailer itself: they are not ready to admit defeat.
Why it still works for streaming
Cult comedies often find a second life on platforms where friends can quote them at 1 a.m. The first Super Troopers built that audience slowly; the sequel proved there was still demand. Part three leans into wedding-family farce on top of the usual highway silliness, which gives the jokes a slightly fresher playground without abandoning the Vermont-trooper energy that made the series a late-night staple.
If you liked the earlier films for the stupid-smart patrol banter more than for polished plot, the trailer suggests you are in safe hands. If you are new, November 5 is a low-commitment way to see whether the broken lizard humor sticks.
Where and when
Stream Super Troopers 3 on Hulu, and on Hulu via Disney+ for bundle subscribers, starting November 5, 2026. Keep the remote nearby. You will want the pause button for the one-liners.
