If you missed the web-slinger on the big screen this summer, your couch just became the best seat in the house. Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tom Holland’s fourth solo adventure as Peter Parker, arrived on digital platforms today, October 6, as a premium video-on-demand title, a little more than two months after it opened in theaters.
Where to watch and what it costs
Sony Pictures has confirmed that the film is available through the major digital storefronts, including Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango and Sony Pictures Core. The release went live at midnight Eastern Time. In the United States, a rental costs $24.99, while buying the film outright runs $29.99. On Prime Video you don’t need a membership to rent or purchase it, so anyone with an Amazon account can press play.
That price is steep for a single movie night, but split across a sofa full of friends or a family with popcorn, it still undercuts a round of cinema tickets and snacks. Rentals also give you the classic window to finish the film once you hit play, which is handy for anyone planning a rewatch to catch the Easter eggs.
Physical copies arrive in time for the holidays
Collectors will have to wait a little longer. The 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray editions are available to pre-order now and ship on December 15, 2026, each with a digital code included. A limited collector’s edition is also up for pre-order, which makes the film an obvious stocking-stuffer candidate for Marvel fans who want the shiny box on their shelf.
When will it stream on Netflix or Disney+?
There’s no official subscription streaming date yet. Under Sony’s existing pay-TV agreement, the studio’s theatrical releases, including its Marvel character films, are expected to land on Netflix in the US first. Sony also has a broader global arrangement that makes Netflix the first subscription home for its movies in individual territories as rights become available. After that Netflix window, a separate Sony–Disney deal covering Sony’s 2022 to 2026 theatrical slate means the film could eventually turn up on a Disney-owned service too.
In practice, that usually means a wait of several months, so if you want to see the film before the spoiler-filled corners of the internet catch up with you, today’s digital release is your best bet.
A busy week for home viewing
Spider-Man isn’t arriving alone. October 6 also brings a wave of other theatrical titles to digital storefronts, including Insidious: Out of the Further, Fall 2: Deadpoint and the action thriller Onslaught. With Halloween season in full swing, it’s shaping up to be one of the busiest home-entertainment weeks of the fall, but there’s little doubt which title will top most rental charts by the weekend.
Whether you’re a first-timer or ready for round two, Brand New Day is now just a click away. Grab the snacks, dim the lights a little, and enjoy the swing.
