Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Finally Lands on Netflix September 28

Posted on September 15, 2026 by xaldris-sl1

Netflix has confirmed what Demon Slayer fans have been waiting to hear: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle, the first chapter of the theatrical trilogy, arrives on the streamer in the United States on September 28, 2026. For viewers who skipped the cinema run or never opened a Crunchyroll account, that date finally closes the last big gap in the film’s Western rollout.

Why the Netflix date matters

Infinity Castle opened in theaters last year and has already streamed worldwide on Crunchyroll since late July. Digital purchase and rental options followed on platforms such as Apple TV, Prime Video, and Google Play. Netflix’s September 28 U.S. launch puts the movie in front of a much larger casual audience—subscribers who live inside one app and rarely chase anime elsewhere.

What the movie covers

Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the film adapts the Infinity Castle arc from Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga and picks up after the fourth TV season. The Demon Slayer Corps faces Muzan Kibutsuji and a gauntlet of Upper Moon demons inside a shifting fortress that has become one of the franchise’s most talked-about set pieces. It is also the opening chapter of a planned trilogy, so the Netflix drop doubles as both a victory lap and a teaser for chapters still without firm release dates.

How to watch now vs. later

Fans who do not want to wait until September 28 can still stream the film on Crunchyroll or rent it digitally. Everyone else can mark the calendar: late September is when Infinity Castle becomes as easy to press play on as any other Netflix blockbuster. Until Infinity Castle 2 locks a date—industry chatter still points at 2027—this first chapter is the clearest way for new viewers to catch up before the rest of the trilogy arrives.
